Here at Skin revolution we offer a wide range of skin peels and as with all our treatments they can be tailored to suit your skin’s individual needs.
Before a skin peel, using pre-treatment products is essential to make sure that your skin is in its best health possible this will enhance and ensure an even result from your treatment. Preparation is key to achieving the brilliant end results. As the ingredients used are of a medical grade, this period of prepping makes your skin stronger therefore reducing redness and minimises any reactions experienced both during and after the peel.
Before booking a chemical face peel or any course of treatment, we recommend you book a consultation. We use 3 medical brands of peeling treatments, all have their own particular benefits and can be used on most areas of the body. The following is just a guide:
Retinol is a form of vitamin A, which is commonly used in skincare products as it encourages the growth of skin cells once it is applied, great for minimising ageing. Due to its small molecular size, retinol can penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin. As this is where your active skin cells are, the retinol that reaches this level encourages your skin cells to grow and renew. A retinol peel can also help unclog your pores and reduce acne outbreaks by encouraging the skin to heal.
Environ’s unique cool peel technology is a non -invasive intelligent skin renewal system developed by Dr Des Fernandez, to safely and effectively help refine, revive and brighten skin. Experience a real, lasting difference to skin through luxurious science. This facial can be adapted by our therapists to treat all most all skin types.
We have a wide choice of chemical peels from Mesoestetic that can be mixed and matched to achieve your skin goals. A chemical peel is actually a dermo-cosmetic procedure used to stimulate accelerated and controlled skin regeneration by using Chemoexfoliation agents. Depending on which combination of chemicals we use determines which layer of the skin is acted on and what kind of effects it has.
The effects of chemical skin peels are sometimes over-exaggerated in the press and by urban myth. Chemical peels rarely cause the skin to peel ( there are a few exceptions but you would be made fully aware of this) They are used to enhance and perfect the skin gently. They do this by stimulating the skin to naturally produce more collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans.
Peels are brilliant for treating almost all skin concerns due to the variety available.
Specialist peeling for Melasma and stubborn pigmentation is available in the form of Cosmelan
As chemical peels are such a specialist area, we always recommend you have a consultation first also because to get the best results from a peel your skin must be properly prepared.
Chemical Peel treatment
Before booking any course of treatment,
we recommend you book a consultation.
It starts with a nice long chat where we figure out how you feel about your skin and what you might like to change. You don’t need to have a problem to book a skin consultation, it can just be a plan to make great what is already good.
The plan itself is like a wish list, it’s everything we could do for your skin, either to fix a problem, improve or prepare for a special occasion like a wedding or special birthday. At the end of your skin consultation, we will have a thoroughly inclusive plan for you covering all skin supplements, products and treatments available.
I say it’s a wish list because getting great skin is a journey. Everybody has limitations for that journey these could be in time, lifestyle or finances. You may be a busy Mum with only 5 minutes to yourself, someone who travels for business or even retired with new time for you. All of these things will be taken into account and together we will design something life appropriate for you.
Sometimes we can fix something really easily with just a tweak of your routine or small addition to it. One of my favourite examples of this magic wand effect is Sarah’s Story. All we did to get her skin fix was add in some skin omegas. Please see Sarah’s Story under the Testimonials page.
Our consultations range in price from £30. However, these are designed to be informative, planning sessions, not selling opportunities.
