SHR is the future of permanent hair reduction that allows for safe, comfortable treatments. SHR delivers low energy light via rapid “pulses” to gently & effectively heat the hair stem cells preventing re-growth, with little or no trauma to surrounding tissue.
Research has shown that this gentle ‘pulsing method’ is more efficient than the high intensity & high temperatures that are associated with traditional IPL/laser.

E-motion technology is a breakthrough in the safe & effective delivery of SHR light energy in the treatment of permanent hair reduction. Incorporating a unique “wanding” action the clinician will repeatedly “sweep” the SHR hand piece over the treated area whilst delivering the fast-pulse, low-energy light directly into the skin. Medium and large areas take a fraction of the time required with traditional laser.

SHR uses selected wavelengths of low energy light rapidly pulsed onto the skin (180 times a minute) to gently heat the target hair follicles to cause terminal damage directly to the hair’s chromophores and prevent hair regrowth. Endorsed by leading medical experts the SHR technology is safe and highly effective in the treatment of permanent hair reduction.
Using revolutionary e-motion delivery an SHR treatment is completed in minutes. The treatment applicator is swept back and forth repeatedly across the designated area whilst rapid pulses of low energy light are pulsed into the skin ensuring full coverage and effective treatment.
Unlike traditional laser or IPL, using high energy levels that may cause discomfort and pain, SHR is gentle and comfortable, resulting in a pleasant warming of the skin. Active skin cooling through the applicator ensures complete comfort even in the most sensitive areas.
SHR treatment can be performed on all skin types. The SHR technology of low energy pulses allows for the successful treatment in both dark and fair skin types alike, even tanned skin. Suitable for both women and men, SHR is the answer!
All hair colours can be treated even blond or lighter coloured hair previously untreatable with traditional lasers… although these lighter hairs may need more treatment.

The unique way that SHR affects the melanin directly in the hair follicle allows for treatments at any time. However we advise you to wait 2 weeks after a self tan application before having treatment to ensure all the fake tan has worn off.
Each SHR treatment effects approximately 30% of the hair within the target area. We recommend a minimum of 6 treatments, with some hair types requiring more. The average for a successful program is 8 treatments.

Prior to treatment a consultation is carried out during which your SHR specialist will go through your personal requirements & ensure you’re suitable for treatment. If you wish to go ahead a patch test (£19.00) will be carried out & your first treatment can be booked from 48hrs onwards.
Treatment is not advised if you have any of the following medical conditions:
· All forms of cancer (can have treatment again after having 5 YEARS of all clear)
· Heart problems / pacemaker
· Medication that causes photosensitizing e.g some anti biotics
· Epilepsy
· Pregnancy/ breastfeeding
· Tattoo
· Roaccutaine (depending on how long person has been on medication is the amount of time they need to wait before being treated on, can cause long term sensitivity)
· Using St Johns Wart (must be off medication for 1 YEAR)
· Been in the sun in the 5 days prior to treatment
· Fake tan – If a frequent user of fake tan need to wait 2 weeks after application
· Must have patch test before treating and must have a re-patch test if client has not been treated for 6 months
· Areas being treated with Botox®(wait 3 months) or dermal fillers (wait 2 weeks) should be avoided
· Diabetes (uncontrolled) otherwise treat with caution
